Procedure
Growing & Harvesting
Rice is a Kharif (autumn) crop, meaning it is grown during the monsoon season. Planting typically occurs between June and July, while harvesting begins in September and continues through November. Since different varieties of rice take varying amounts of time to mature, they are harvested at different times.
Paddy Selection
Paddy Cleaning
Milling and Warehousing
No compromises are made when selecting paddy. Only the finest grains with superior quality are chosen, as they directly impact the overall quality of the rice produced. Varieties with high yield potential and strong resistance to pests and diseases are prioritized to minimize losses.
Selecting paddy is a meticulous process with no room for compromise. Only high-quality grains are chosen to ensure the final rice meets premium standards. Preference is given to paddy varieties that offer high yield and strong resistance to reduce potential losses.
During the milling stage, the husk of the dried-out paddy is removed. The rice at this stage has a brown texture due to the bran layers on the rice. Modern moisture, temperature controlled, state-of-the-art storage systems are utilized to age the rice for at least 1 full year, helping the rice output a fuller taste and aroma.
Pre-cleaning
Polishing
Grading
A quality check is performed on the rice once more to ensure that the rice going through this process is free of impurities (stones, threads etc).
The rice is passed through a polisher to give it a fine and silky texture. Two polishers are used for this process depending on the requirements.
The thickness and length of the grain are then checked using length and thickness grading. By separating broken and shriveled grains, size uniformity is achieved.
Color Sorting
To maintain premium quality, our rice undergoes advanced color sorting, where discolored or damaged grains are precisely removed. This high-tech process ensures only uniform, pure, and perfectly refined rice reaches the final stage. It enhances visual appeal, improves taste, and guarantees consistency in every batch. By eliminating impurities with accuracy, the sorting system protects the integrity of the final product. This process also helps meet strict industry standards and ensures customer satisfaction. Ultimately, it reflects our commitment to delivering superior, high-grade rice every time. Our color sorters are equipped with cutting-edge sensors that detect even the slightest flaws in grains. This level of precision allows us to maintain exceptional purity with minimal human intervention. It also increases efficiency, enabling faster and more reliable processing.
Packaging
To ensure high weighing accuracy, Waqar Rice has installed modern computerized bagging scales. The packaging process is carefully designed and executed to increase product shelf life as well as ease of handling until the point of consumption. Waqar Rice goes above and beyond to present its products in attractive and eye-catching designs. Depending on the needs of the customer, various types of packaging materials (such as jute, cotton, polypropylene, polythene, and polyethylene) are used. Each packaging option is rigorously tested to maintain freshness and protect the rice from environmental factors. Advanced sealing technology ensures that every bag is securely packed to preserve aroma and quality. Our packaging operations follow strict hygiene standards to guarantee consumer safety. We continuously innovate our packaging solutions to enhance convenience, durability, and brand appeal.
